COUNTRY STRANGERS
There
was a tourist from the city
Who came to a small town
He thought it quite a pity
As he eyed folks up and down.
He
drove out to the country
Which wasn't very far
He hollered to the farmer
As he started from his car.
He
noticed the dog lying
Beside the rocking chair
The stranger was just trying
To get directions there.
Before
he went much farther
He said "Does your dog bite?"
"Mister," said the farmer
"My dog ? ? ... N O ... He's all
right."
"WHAT'S GOING ON ? !
You
told me
That your dog doesn't bite ! "
As
the dog lunged at the stranger
It was an awful sight!
The
farmer yelled, "YOU MUTT ! NOW SHOO
!"
You're worse than my old hog !"
And to the stranger ...
"That's
what I told you..
But
sir .....
THAT
AIN'T MY DOG !"
